Former President of the Philippines and Current Mayor of Manila Highly Recognizes MCHG

During the meeting

On March 27 , former President of the Philippines and current Mayor of Manila Joseph M. Estrada Ejercito, Health Minister of Manila Dr Regina Bagsik and head of the Medical Department of Manila Dr Yson , met with Xu Jiechao, the general manager of the Philippines office of MCHG.

This meeting mainly discussed the international medical cooperation on cancer treatment between China and Philippines to further improve the quality of medical and patient services.

Joseph M. Estrada Ejercito extended a warm welcome to medical representatives from MCHG and highly recognized the efforts and contribution MCHG made to cancer patients in Manila.

He indicated that the Philippines government attaches great importance to the development of medical industry. However, oncology technology in Manila is still in its seedtime, while MCHG is far ahead in this field, either in modern minimally invasive technology, international telemedicine or in multidisciplinary teamwork and medical practices, which is worth learning.

Joseph M. Estrada Ejercito hoped to promote the communication and cooperation between China and the Philippines and to dedicate to improve medical technology together. He showed his willingness to fully support the patient services of MCHG in Manila. Besides, he helped make a meeting between MCHG and 6 governmental hospital presidents in Manila and reach a primary consensus on medical cooperation.

St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou showed great confidence in further cooperation in technique exchange and patient service. Meanwhile, Joseph M. Estrada Ejercito also actively reacted to the proposal. Together with Health Minister and governmental hospital presidents, he will pay a visit to MCHG for inspection and communication in the near future.

Joseph M. Estrada Ejercito had the faith that with mutual and united efforts, the medical service of both China and the Philippines will witness remarkable development in coming days and more Philippine patients will be benefited through this journey.
